Add magnetic field perpendicular to symmetry axis of 2D axial model

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hallo everybody,

I have a complete model of our beamline in axial symmetric geometry. Charged particles are guided electrostatically which is already implemented in the simulation.

Now I have to add a magnetic field perpendicular to the symmetry axis. As the model consists of several hundred parts I do not want to redesign the model in 3D and reassign the electric potentials.

Is there any possibility to rotate the electrostatic solution to a 3D field and use this with a magnetic field generated using a 3D geometry?
Or can I convert the whole model from 2D axial to 3D?

Thank you in advance for your help!
