Thermal Expansion

Hello,
I am working on thermal expansion of a cantilever beam. I want to find out how much my beam has expand due to applying heat on it? its a bimorph. I am applying heat on upper layer. I want to know how much it expands in respect of lower layer. How can I calculate it?

Hello Gunjan,
You will find a detailed tutorial featuring thermal expansion in the Introduction to COMSOL Multiphysics manual, version 5.2 ("Busbar" example). Please note that thermal expansion is a feature implemented by the Structural Mechanics Module and MEMS Module, so you will need one of those two products to follow the step-by-step instructions in that tutorial.
