Magnetic Field Not Uniform/Symmetrical

I'm modelling a simple magnetic field, which will later be created by rare earth permanent magnets with no current. Though while modelling this in comsol does not produce a uniform and symmetrical field as expected. Though I simply expect this to be due to the fact the comsol isn't creating symmetrical meshes for the magnets that are being modelled. Anyone know how I can get around this? I've tried to attach a file of my model but can't seem to do so. But any help otherwise would be much apprecaited. Thank you.

Hi
tere a a few points to check, but generally ACDC works fine. Among others mesh density, which must often quite dense compared to other physics.

One point is to mesh a sufficient large volume around your magnet to avoid edge effects, or to use correctly the PML (perfectly Matched Infinite layers).

There is also an simple example of meshing issues for Maxwell stress tensor in the "model exchange", just as there are several exaple in the ACDC documentation.

Good luck
Ivar
