Hi
you can certainly do a fair part (if not all) of it in COMSOL, but which other soft were you referring to ?
Also I do not believe its a trivial problem to start with, too many physics for a first try

Good luck
Ivar

I refer to ANSYS POLYFLOW, Accuform B-SIM, BlowView.
Have you ever used this software?
Is there a tool in COMSOL that simulate the deformation of the PET during the blow molding process?
Thanks,
Gianluca

Hi
COMSOL has the math and the physics solver to analyse many cases but is not application oriented such that you might immediatly find your case as is, already done. But if you know the physics you want to use, such as highly nonlinear materil physics yes there are quite a lot, but the rest depends how you build your model. I cannot tell what is simple or not

Do you have a specific COMSOL question that we might be able to help you with ?

Hello! I am approaching the same blow moulding problem win another field (forming of angioplasty balloons): could you tell me if you succeeded in modeling the process with COMSOL? I am just starting to approach the problem (I will deal with PA12, not PET), but I would like to know something more about your outcomings, or to have any suggestions from you.
Thanks,
Francesco
