Frequency Sweep of Microstrip Transmission Line

Hi all:

I have built a microstrip transmission line with a linear mesh as the copper conductive strip on top, and ground plane on the bottom. When I perform a frequency sweep of 1 GHz to 3 GHz to calculate the transmission line loss, I am expecting a negatively linear graph when I plot frequency against loss. In the attachment, I already imported the equation for loss.

The problem is, when I decrease the width of the copper width of the linear strip (not the overall strip width), the freq vs. loss curve becomes jagged and is less clear in linearity. I have attached a graph of the losses of different copper widths (0.35 mm to 0.75 mm). For some reason, copper widths of 0.55mm and below start producing jagged curves.

What is the reason for inaccurate results due to thinner copper widths? Could it be a mesh refinement issue? I have tried running a separate parametric sweep using the Frequency Domain Study equations using the advice from www.comsol.com/community/forums/general/thread/14573/

However, I am still running into similar graphs. If it is a meshing issue, how should I set up the maximum and minimum element size to correspond to each frequency. Is there another solution that I am overlooking?

Having the same issue, but for varying the width of a solid copper strip on top of the transmission line. Hopefully someone can diagnose this.
