modeling multiple discrete point charges

Hello all,

I am solving a Poisson equation for electric potential [V] inside a 3D box-like geometry.

As a boundary condition, instead of having a constant surface charge density, I want to model it as a collection of discrete points that act as a point source [C]. I am able to put a test point charge and verified that the physics is okay.

The problem is to specify the location of each charge when I have over 500 of them on a fixed lattice. I have a text file that specifies their location. What is the best (fastest) way to define the position and charge value on these point charges? All of them have equal charge.

Thanks,
Ravi
