Rigid body connectors and Linear Buckling study

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

Got two (hopefully) quick problems:

I have been trying to model two aluminium plates pressed together by bolts. To model the bolts, I want to apply a rigid body connector constraint but this is not available in my constraint options. I am using COMSOL 4.4. Do rigid body connectors exist in this version?

My second issue is that I cannot find the Linear Buckling Study. It simply does not appear as a study option. I have tried to find alternative ways of running these analyses but have had no luck. I thought that the Prestressed analysis, Eigenfrequency might work but I only get the Eigenfrequency as a result, not the critical buckling factor.

Any solution for these issues would be much appreciated.

Stuart
