*.ws files

I'm a graduate student; before I started my program, two predecessors of mine created a COMSOL/MATLAB script that loads files with a *.ws extension. I believe these files are lookup tables, but no program I have can open them, and when I run the script, it says there is an error reading the file. I've attached an example of a .m file that calls a *.ws file. Unfortunately, this thread does not allow me to upload the *.ws file itself. Does anyone have any knowledge of using *.ws files?

I have a suspicion that this is readable in COMSOL Script, but it seems like the program is obsolete and is not on my computer.
