Carbon nanotubes fatigue

Hi,
I'm new with COMSOL and I'm trying to determine the change in Mechanical properties of carbon nanotubes after some cycles of switching.
In theory this material should have as much as one defect in its surface.
I'd like to know which library should I use and how I should use it in order to see the effects of the fatigue in such material.

Fatgue andcrack propagation is specific physics, I assume the bahaviour of your "C-nanotube" is not much different from any (perfect) crystalline structure. You must define the physics you intend to use and adapt the global "structural" physics to it. There are a few examples on crack propagation in the model library. This is an interesting and challenging domain.
But do not forget that theory is only good as long as you can correlate it to some experiences, check that your are progressing accordingly, as else you might get lot in the world of pure numbers, and tier binary representations ;)
