How to define a temporal mesh

Hi,

I wish to deinfe a temporal mesh for solving a pulsing heat source.
I want the mesh to be fine around the pulse so as to give an accurate answer but to be coarse in between the pulses so I save on computing time.
I know this is possilbe I just can't seem to find any information about it in the documentation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
