Plotting S parameters a a function of x

I am trying to build a gratings that is 2 um long (x direction) and 100 nm height (y direction) .
(2D simulation; far field solutions ;TM mode ; wavelengths 600nm-1000nm).

I place 2 ports (that have the same length as the model) and then I plot the emw.S21 and emw.S11 parameters.
The results agree with the lumped theory.

Then I try to plot S21 parameter (using - cut point 2D) as a function of the x axis (0um : 0.2 um: 2 um) and I get the same result as before undependable on the x location I choose to sample.
As I see it the S21 parameter should change with x ( this is a distributed system so I expect that S21 should change as a function of x ).
Moreover when I try to compute the ratio between the emw.normH^2 (near the output port for a specific x location) and the emw.normH^2 (near the input port for the same specific x location) the results differ from the emw.S21^2 value.
The ration changes with x (as expected) but it does not equal emw.S21^2 value .

Can some help me understand what is the emw.S21 result I see and why it does not change with the position?
And also if I want to compute the S21 as a function of the x position how should i do it?
