Hi everyone, I am simulating laminar flow on a 2D geometry. It is a very simple model with only inlets, outlets and a big channel between. I know that COMSOL assumes 3D for every simulation, but what is the meaning of the solution? The maximum velocity, an average?

The only time I insert the height of my channel is on the inlet tab with laminar flux (but I think it uses only to transform from a volumetric velocity to a linear velocity)

Any explanation would be welcome.
Thank you
