RF module

I am using the RF module in the in-plane TE scattering harmonic propagation mode.
What I want to do is simply to calculate reflection and transmission of a field that goes through an interface.
In my example a plane wave propagates from the bottom boundary toward the upper boundary going from a medium with refractive index 1 to another with refractive index 3.
The boundary conditions I employed are PML for top and bottom and Periodic -> continuity for the lateral borders.
You can find the example in the attachment.
To set the initial field I used the Scalar Variable dialog box and I wrote there:
exp(-j*k0_rfweh*y)
The point is that when I look at the amplitudes of the total magnetic field, this is different from what I expected.
The reflection and transmission should be respectively 0.5 and 0.5*sqrt(3).
Anyone could tell me why?
Another question is about how the source is implemented in the simulations. When I set the field in the Scalar Variable dialog box, Comsol assumes that field distribution for all the simulation domain? If it is so how it is possible to simulate an incoming field in the domain?
Thank you for your help
