Infinite element domain parameters

Does anyone know the meaning of two parameters, Physical Width and Pole Distance defined for infinite element domain? Or if possible, can anyone provide a reference?

And the region for the infinite element as shown in the figure is generated automatically or I need to create a circle myself？ I use axissymmetric 2D and version 4.3
