Periodic pulsed heat load skip pulses irregularly

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I have been working on a simple comsol experiment to apply pulsed heat loads on a simple geometry which I eventually extend to a larger design.

I followed mainly the Laser heating of a weaver tutorial and everything works fine, however, when I look at my results my pulses are not periodic. (see picture) It skips a pulse at 1.5s and 5.5s.

My pulse train is 2 HZ, 100ms long and the period is 10s. I made an analytical function to make the pulsetrain. I have a explicit event to make sure I have enough resolution around the pulse. I thought it has something to do with my time depedent study, however, the position of the missing pulse remains while increasing sampling (I tried 0.1, 0.05, 0.01 and without specific time steps).

Where am I going wrong in this case? Thank you very much!
