expression format and femstate/femsim

Hi
Using femstate/femsim in a Matlab script results in an error. Apparently the function doesn't support text values in expressions and constants (i.e. fem.const = {'a', '5[m]'}).

Did anybody else encounter a similar problem and how was it solved?

... is there may-be a function that converts the expressions/constants from text with units to values in base units; i.e. fem.const = {'a', '5[mm]'} to fem.const = {'a', 5e-3}?
