Surface Reaction (Mesh Moving?)

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello Everyone,

I am currently trying to model a 2D surface reaction where there is bulk accumulation along the reaction surface. I was wondering if it is possible to use this transient accumulation to adjust the flow. I have spent a lot of time looking at ALE with moving mesh and have gotten close with it but it is not doing what I want it to. I was hoping to be able to have this accumulating surface become a porous material that flow could penetrate.

Please let me know if there is a different module I need to purchase or if there is something else I can try.

Thanks for your time,
Ryan

Hi Ryan,
I am working on a similar model. I have included 3 physics in my model-
1. Transport of Diluted species
2. Moving Mesh
3. Surface reaction
But I am not getting the desired result. I am wondering whether solving all the 3 physics simultaneously in one model is the cause. I am curious to know how did you overcome your problem.

Thanks
Sanket
