How to save a 3.5a file in a 3.3 version ?

Hi,

I have created *.mph models with the 3.5a version. For my PhD, I am in collaboration with an other laboratory working with the 3.3 version of COMSOL. But, they can't open my model.

So, how I can convert my model in a 3.3 version ?

I really need your help...

Thanks a lot !

Gabriel.

Hi

I do not suppose its possible, you could try to dump it as a *.m file and tweak it to be 3.3 compatible. Hence the importance to get all partners to use the SAME version

Hi,

Ihave a similar problem but with version 4.2a. Is it possible to convert the file from 4.2a into 4.2?

Thank you!

Hi

I do not believe "down" converting is possible, most programmes on the market only allows to read into newer versions. To be sure you must check with "support"

It isn't possible to open a model saved in 4.3b in 4.3. The workaround proposed earlier in the thread - going via an exported .java- or .m-file - might work, but there is no guarantee.
