Navier and Pressure acoustics equations (Conditions at same boundry)

Hi all,

I am modelling the Acoustic-Structure interaction in PDE module. For the acoustic part, I have used the general pressure acoustic fieild ( only p as variable) (PDE1) and for the solid part (PDE2), the general Navier equations (Variables u, v, w) are applied. I am going to relate these domains in the boundaries. Considering that there are two different PDEs in each domain with different variables, I am just wondering if I can apply them as union model or I have to consider assembly for my model. As I have read the manual, both the Union and Identity pair conditions, consider the continuity. What does this continuity mean for two interfaces with different variables? Does it consider same nodes with same displacement and slope at the interface of the domains?

Regards,
Masoud
