missing "plot next" "plot previous" etc buttons in plot settings

My problem is pretty self explanitory - the toolbar in the plot settings menu that contains the buttons with "plot next" etc is gone.

I can open an archived version of my model and the toolbar is there but in the current version, none of the plots have this toolbar. The hotkeys f6 & f7 don't work either.

These toolbar buttons work if the solution stored in the model is in "good shape" structurally. Were there any problems when you computed the study?
