I have a simple setup in which hot water is flowing inside the solid steel cylinder, I want to see how temperature profile changes with time. during flow water will give its energy to cylinder, hence water temp at outlet should be lower than inlet.
when I run it using time dependent solver it gives the error as "failed to find consistent initial values"

My advice is as follows.
Take into account the axial symmetry. Transform your 3D model into 2Daxi.
Apply a smooth change of the inlet velocity from 0 to 0.025 m/s (use a smeared step function).
Use a dense mesh.

i can not go for 2d and symmetry because i want to extend this model to some other model which can not possible in 2d. i have one basic query, how can i see time dependent change on this type of non isothermal flow?
