Hi, to model axial flux machine, you should start by understanding how to simulate radial flux machines with COMSOL Multiphysics. See for example this simple 2D example to get started: https://www.comsol.com/model/generator-in-2d-2122 An axial flux machine cannot be simulated in this way, it needs to be modeld as a full 3D model, so afterwards you should check out these models: https://www.comsol.com/model/generator-in-3d-462 and https://www.comsol.com/model/permanent-magnet-motor-in-3d-47621 . All of these models can also be found in the Application Lbirary that ships with the software, so you might already have them. You may also find some very useful information in our Blog, in particular this one: https://www.comsol.de/blogs/guidelines-for-modeling-rotating-machines-in-3d/
Once you are familiar with this material, you can model an axial flux machine easily, I have done it before, you can apply the same principals as for the radial flux machines. However, be patient, it is not the easiest thing to simulate.
