What's bad happening behind during solving?

Hi, all

I'm trying to solve a model (three modules are coupled). Direct solver UMFPACK is used. By monitoring the consumed memory, I fount it keep growing without an end within the time I can wait... At last I have to cancel the process.

Later I changed to Pardiso direct solver. COMSOL starts to solve the model properly.

So what's wrong with the UMFPACK solver for my model?
