Hi everybody, i have a question/problem. I try write a PDE (weak form) for truss/rod model in 2d domain. On the edge i can do a derivative tangential (directional).
2d -> derivative directional = (df/dx)tx + (df/dy)ty where: f function versor of tangential edge = (tx;ty)
when i do the dtang(f,x) what am i doing ? first or second answer ? 1. dtang(f,x) = (df/dx)tx 2. dtang(f,y) = (df/dx)tx + (df/dy)ty
if the first answer means than dtang(f,x) = dtang(f,y) ?
Sorry for my long question, but it is much days than i stay on this problem
