Complex Band Diagram for a Phononic Crystal

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi all,

After some research I found out that I need to use the PDE Module in order to obtain the imaginary part of the complex band diagram of a 2D phononic crystal. I selected the Coefficient Form as the physics and the Eigenvalue as the study. My questions are: 1) Some coefficient matrices depend on the wavenumber. In this case, do I just type "lambda" in these matrices? 2) I noticed that there is no Floquet's periodic condition in this module. How can I set it up in the PDE Module? 3) What is the best Eigenvalue search method for such analysis?

Any suggestion is really welcome. Or, with you have any guide for this topic I'll also be really thankful.
