Hi all,

I have a problem in solving 3d solid meshed structure..

It have only 222462 degrees of freedom but it could't be solved (error 6188: Out of memory during assembly)

I've tried to choose non direct solver but it doesn't help..
How I can fix this error?

Thanks in advance for any help,
Alex

P.S: .m file is attached. mesh can be performed using coarser mesh size.

Hi

I do not have access to my COMSOL licence so I cannot test it out, but either you have something wrong in the geoemtry or model set up, or its "simply" that you are at RAM limit, this can be checked by useing coarser meshing with less elements.

Another trick I used when I was still working on my laptop (now I have passed over to a larger workstation with far more RAM so its seldom required) was to operate COMSOL in client-server mode, I notices that I gained about 30% RAM availability (and more when I stopped all unecesariy IE, Outlook and other MS based application and services)

Good luck
Ivar
