On setting thermal boundary conditions

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi, am thinking of a rectangular model composed of air, 3nmAu , and quartz glass in that order. We want to consider the heating of Au when light is incident on it. The left and right sides of the rectangle are set to periodic conditions, but which conditions should be used for the top and bottom edges? When the temperature was fixed at 20°C, sufficient heating did not occur due to the close proximity to the gold. There may be some flaws in my English, but please help me.
