Simulation of sunlight transmittance of ITO substrate with different roughness

Dear researchers Recently, I am trying to simulate "the transmittance relationship of ITO substrates with different roughness to sunlight". However, my fitting results show that the transmittance of different roughness has no obvious change.
Question 1: How to set the different roughness of the substrate? Can I use periodic sin function to represent the rough surface ? Question 2: Is there any problem with my modeling? Here is my model. Wave optics, frequency domain, using two-dimensional graphics, sin function ordinarization to simulate ITO fluctuations (I don't know what better method to express different roughness), the upper and lower layers are the the air layers, the outer edge of the air layer is a perfect matching layer(PML), the upper and lower outermost boundary is the scattering boundary condition; The left and right boundaries are periodic conditions.
I would be grateful for your valuable answers!
