What kind of new equation? E.g., a function of independent variables (such as temperature vs. time, imposed on a boundary) that is used during the finite element (FE) solving process? A post-processing (after the FE) operation to better plot or understand your results? An interpolation of imported data? Your own user-defined partial differential equation (pde) to use during the FE process, or...? There are many ways and purposes to equations that users can define in Comsol Multiphysics. If you ask a more specific question, you will get more useful advice.
