Interior Fan BC convergence

Hello there,

I'm working on a thermal analysis of an enclosured electric equipment that has 4 fans on it. I was testing the set up for the simulation on a simpler case. Just a 2D circular tube with a interior fan bc for inducing flow at a specific volumetric flux, but I can't make it converge.

Can anyone help me with that?

Hello Rodrigo,

I am not very well versed in the interior fan boundary condition but it seems to me that this may be a case of

1/ your flow rate being too high for the solution to be laminar as you specified it 2/ your not having set a reference pressure anywhere

When I made those changes to your file, I got convergence, see the attached file.

Best,

Jeff
