Port to use for semi rectangular shaped coaxial cable excitation

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi
I am facing problem in assigning port parameters for semicircular coaxial cable excitation. If it is circular then can use coaxial port type also if rectangular coaxial port we can use rectangular port. But if the port is semi rectangular or any other irregular shape then defining it as coaxial/rectangular port yields error message. Please help.
Thanks.
Saimoom

Saimoom,

For port of irregular shape, you can use Boundary Mode Analysis study type to find propagating mode shape. There are couple of the examples in the Comsol model library explaining how to use Boundary Mode Analysis.

Sergei
