IMPLEMENTING SOLAR SPECTRAL IRRADIANCE DATA (AM 1.5G) ON A 2- D SOLAR CELL

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

We are trying to simulate a 2-D solar cell using comsol multiphysics 4.3 a. We had succeeded in the initial part. Now we want to incorporate the spectral irradiance (AM 1.5 G SPECTRUM) into my model. We have taken the data from (rredc.nrel.gov/solar/spectra/am1.5/). But the problem is that the unit of spectral irradiance is W/m^2/nm and in the port (input power)only Watt is allowed. I had downloaded the spectral data and used it as an interpolation function. We want to use the AM 1.5G spectral irradiance as a variable in the port input power box.
i am attaching the model and the refractive index table of aluminium.
Please have a look...

Thanks in advance

Looking forward to hearing from you

Regards
Binoy Chacko.

Hi,

Were you ever able to find a solution to this problem? Currently running into the same issue.

Thanks,

Sam
