periodic geometry

I'm doing a periodic geometry in comsol 4.2a. I did it with matrix/vector tool, and I'd like to do an union of all the created object to have only one subdomain. But comsol considerate all subdomains indepentents. The structure it's similar to the model photonic cristal in comsol, but the geometry in this model is imported and I don`t know how to do the structure with Comsol. Can somone help me?
