Simulating Compliant Mechanism in Steps

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I am attemtping to simulate a compliant bi-stable mechanism in Comsol 4.2a

I require to simulate in two steps:
1. A parametric displacement in vertical direction. The body becomes pre-stressed and jumps to second b-stable state.
2. Apply a parametric displacement in horizontal direction using the solution of the previous step as initial conditions for present step. This should bring the body back to its original state.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You.
