Hello,
I'm pleased to announce that COMSOL 4.4 Update 2 is now available.

This update corrects several bugs and stability issues in COMSOL 4.4 and its add-on modules. More information about the issues fixed with this update and how to install it can be found here:
www.comsol.com/support/updates/comsol44p2/

Note that update 2 includes the previous Update 1. You will not need to install Update 2 if you download COMSOL 4.4 from now on:
www.comsol.com/product-download

What are these stability issues and how do you quantify their impact (should we notice any differences in performance)?

Hello Trevor,

The stability issues primarily have to do with the GUI and graphics performance. The improvements you will see can depend upon the graphics card that you are using.

The improvements with respect to solver performance may be noticeable for certain models.
