One circle is split into four 1/4 arcs

Hi there,

When I create a circle or cylinder surface in COMSOL, it is always separated into four 1/4 parts. Does anyone know if I can make COMSOL not to split into 4 parts or is there a way I can unite these four 1/4 arcs or surfaces as one arc or one surface?

Thanks a lot.

Hello,

I had the same question, found this post, and solved my problem so I thought I would reply for others who have the same problem.

Simply go to the geometry tab, ->"Virtual Operations", select "Ignore Vertices", you can then select the four vertices of the circle.

At least for me, this solved my meshing problems with overlapping circles. Hope this helps someone,

Reed
