centrifugal forces

hi,
I am modelling a rotor and I am wondering how it is possible to apply the centrifugal force on my Rotor.
in fact I don't know if the equations are already in COMSOL or I myself should define them ( how and where I can).
Thanks in advance for your support

Hi,

centrifugal and coriolis forces for frozen rotor studies are automatically taken care of when using the "Frozen Rotor" study step, that was introduced in version 4.4. Search for "Frozen Rotor" on page www.comsol.com/release/4.4

In earlier version you will need to define that forces manually using a "volume force" expression.

Hope that helps!

Best regards,
Erik
