DRIVE TORQUE AND THRUST/EFFICIENCY

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I AM WORKING ON A PROBLEM THAT INVOLVES THE EVALUATION OF THE LOSS OF OUTPUT FORCE (TORQUE) IN THE DRIVE ON THE SHAFT. IN FACT TORQUE BECOMES THE ROTATION OF THE SHAFT THAT HAS THE MOVING NUT FIXED TO THE MOVING BODY (HERE FIXED TO THE GATE THAT IS TO BE ELEVATED OR LOWERED)
OUTPUT TORQUE IS PRODUCING THE THRUST THAT IS RESISTED IN THE DRIVE ITSELF AND SUPPORTED BY 4 BOLTS AND PLATE ON THE STRUCTURE. IF I WANT TO ADD ADDITIONAL BEARING OUTSIDE OF THE DRIVE I WILL CAUSE SOME OF THE OUTPUT TORQUE TO BE RESISTED OR "CATCH HERE" AND SOME THRUST FORCE BEING GENERATED, AS WELL. I WILL HAVE ALSO SOME MEDIUM TO REDUCE FRICTION IN MY BEARING FOR INSTANCE LARD. I WANT TO SIMULATE THE EFFICIENCY OF SYSTEM. IT MEANS DRIVE (WITH TORQUES AND SHAFT WITH POSSIBLE ADDING BEARINGS. IT IS APPLICATION FOR ELEVATING A GATE AND THE FORCE THAT IS TO BE REMAINED IN THE SYSTEM AN AXIAL FORCE IN THE SHAFT -ACME TREAD NEEDS TO BE SUFFICIENT TO OPERATE/ELEVATE THE GATE BUT NOT SO HIGH TO BUCKLE THE ACME TREAD. THAT IS WHY I AM THINKING OF HOW TO MODEL MY ADDITIONAL BEARING.
HAS ANYBODY USED SOME COMSOL HERE? I AM USING SAP2000 FOR ANNALYSIS AND AUTOCAD FOR DRAFTING.
