Impedance Cross-Validation

I have been conducting some impedance simulations in COMSOL using the emqvw (quasi-electrostatic) application mode, using different microfluidic geometries. The set-up is using the conductivity of deionized water (5.56e-6 S/m) with a dielectric of 80. At one inlet I have assigned a port boundary and another is ground, the rest of the geometry is modelled as electric insulation.
I have been analysing the impedance using abs(Z11_emqvw) and the phase using 180*arg(Z11_emqvw)/pi.
Concurrently, I have been using the same geometries in real-life experiments and have found that the COMSOL impedance results are several of order of magnitude higher.
I am unsure of what may be missing from my model to accurately describe the impedance of the system.
Any thoughts?
Regards,
Tom
