Time Dependent study of a string oscillations

Hello all, i'm trying to simulate oscillations of a string given the initial displacement as a function of x coordinate:

I chose time dependent study. Is this correct?
I specified the initial displacement as y=f1(x).

Should i enable or disable straight edge constraint? What else should i do? If i leave the straight edge constraint enabled then i get this as a result:

If i disable it then the solver loops.
