Define own material properties and refer them in an analytic function

I have been working with adsorption systems for the last few weeks. In such systems there a additional material properties of interest, such as equilibrium parameters. Unfortunately those parameters are not available in the predefined material properties list.
My first question: Is it possible to specify own material properies for example mean grain size? (I have found the user-defined property group, but this does not quite satisfy me.)
Second question: Is it possible to refer to material properties in an analytic function of the same material? This would make it easier to define several materials, which have the same analytic function but different parameters.
I have added an .mph file to make things clearer. I this file, the "Test function (an1)" should call the material property "A" defined in user-defined property group . How can I do that?
By the way, I did not define A as "Frequency factor", I defined it as a Local property, COMSOL defines it as Frequency factor itself.
Kind regards
Dominik
