DC discharge on COMSOL

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I'm new to COMSOL.I have designed a converging diverging geometry which acts as anode and a conical cathode .The aim is to create an electric arc between the cathode and anode or rather to obtain a DC discharge when a potential is applied between the cathode and anode. The voltage applied was 150V
I have only used a different geometry but have followed the exact procedures as mentioned in the model library of "POSITIVE COLUMN 2D" .
Upon simulating following as mentioned in the library for my geometry i get errors stating that:
1.Last time step not converged
2.Failed to find consistent initial values

I'm new to COMSOL and donot understand how to go about with it as i'm unable to understand why the error occurs and what it means.I'm using the version 4.4. Will be glad to receive help on how to go about with it.

I have the same model and problem with you.do you get the solution of the problem?
