oxygen gas surface reaction and the product diffusion into the block

there is an boundary condition question on the process of oxygen gas surface reaction and the product diffusion into the block.

oxygen gas reacts with the metal on the metal surface, and the productof metal oxide diffuse into the metal block.
I'm not sure the flux boundary condition.
J=reaction rate or J=reaction rate - dcs/dt, cs is the concentration of metal oxide in the surface of metal.
which one of boundary condition is right for the process?

Hi

For oxygen the boundary condition is J = -reaction rate, minus sign because oxygen is consumed. For the metal oxide the BC is J = +reaction rate, because it is produced.
