Circular grating simulation in 2D axisymmetric

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi!

I am going to simulate a circular grating using the RF module in COMSOL v5.0. The circular grating is in the cylindrical coordinates, and TM wave is applied on the surface. So there exist diffraction of transmission and reflection.

Can I use 2D axisymmetric to simulate this grating?

If yes, how could I set the Periodic Condition, and which type of port I should use?
Referring to the example of 1D diffraction grating in the Model Library, I could not find the “periodic” type of port and failed to set the Periodic Condition.

Thanks!

Tao
