two time dependent equations simultaneously

Hi,
Can I solve light diffusion and heat equation ( time dependent) simultaneously that the heat equation is the function of light diffusion?
The time to reach steady state for the light diffusion is in the scale of ns but for the heat equation is in the scale of second.

I would be grateful for any help,
