OW Microspeaker: Simulation and Correlation with Measurements
Application ID: 78121
This model analyzes the electromagnetic, mechanical, and acoustical characteristics of the OWS-1943T-8CP (discontinued) speaker. Beside certain details, the geometry, material properties, and measurements are copyright by Ole Wolff.
Starting from the geometry of the speaker, an axisymmetric electromagnetic model is used to characterize the frequency-dependent response of the voice coil and electromagnetic circuit. This response is included in a 3D model where the vibroacoustic response of the speaker is analyzed and compared with measurements.
Ole Wolff is recognized worldwide for high-quality transducers, as well as unique design capabilities, which are supplied to a broad range of first-tier companies within the consumer electronics industry.
This model example illustrates applications of this type that would nominally be built using the following products:
however, additional products may be required to completely define and model it. Furthermore, this example may also be defined and modeled using components from the following product combinations:
The combination of COMSOL® products required to model your application depends on several factors and may include boundary conditions, material properties, physics interfaces, and part libraries. Particular functionality may be common to several products. To determine the right combination of products for your modeling needs, review the Tabella delle Funzionalità and make use of a free evaluation license. The COMSOL Sales and Support teams are available for answering any questions you may have regarding this.
