Convection-Diffusion-Reaction

Hi,

I am completely new to Comsol and modelling. I am trying to recreate a published model that uses convective diffusive transport of a molecule that binds to different surface receptors. I am following the Transport and Adsorption Tutorial.

I want to expand this so that there are multiple distinct active sites where the reactive species can bind to on the surface. These are represented as ODEs

There is also no diffusion through the boundary surface only binding at the surface.

Hi

I was considering same kind of a problem where metal is deposited on the surface. My solution was to use the Surface Reactions node. There you can add as many reactions as you wish, each of them with individual binding constants. I defined the reaction rates as variables and used them in the Flux boundary condition in the Transport of Dilutes Species (diffusion) node. In the Surface Reactions node, they are the used in the item "Reactions" as such.
