In inertial micro-fluidics field, there are many types lift force. Among them, there are Saffman lift force and shear gradient lift force. I think that Saffman lift force and shear gradient lift force is generated by fluid velocity profile.
I am working for simulation which is based on intercial based seperation in straight channel. My question is ;
Although I defined lift foce and drag force module, ı did not get proper seperation result very well. Addtionally, flow velocity and particle size were changed to obtain well defined seperation. However, when more than one trial simulation run was done, obtaining result was not corralated to porevious one. Therefore, ı am versy suspicous to whether ı model real thing. Can you help me? Osman Thanks
