Hi,
I want to model 2-1 turn transformer in 2D domain. I have attached jpg file of my model. I want to know that whether that model is correct or not.
Thanks

Hi

I do not think we can say fully yes or no, only based on your drawing. First of all, in 2D you are simulating items that go far in Z (out of the screen) and not any loops, if you want to "loop" the current you need to play with the signs correctly yourself.

Another option, if you have loops (toroidal coils) is to work in 2D-axi, then you draw a cut plane, but the physics is set up to assume a cylindrical shape with a vertical axis at "x_horizontal"=r=0 and the axis along "y_vertical"=z

Then in 2D MF I always say that you should round off all corners with "fillets" (reasonably small), but this might be the last thing you do once your "square" model is running. As for ACDC sharp corners are mostly singularities, how to define the gradient of a field from a point/vertex of two lines ?

Good luck

Your description and sketch are not very detailed. Provide some further information about the purpose of your simulation and the transformer you want to model. From the attached figure I would guess the windings of the secondary coil are very close to each other without any permeable material in the whole design.
