Promoting Industrial Innovation with Custom Simulation Apps
Edward Furlani, University at Buffalo, NY, USASimulation apps enable organizations without a simulation expert to leverage the power of numerical simulation. Edward Furlani, a professor in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at University at Buffalo (UB) SUNY is training the next set of engineering entrepreneurs by connecting them with industry partners to analyze and design materials and devices for commercial purposes. Furlani and his students built custom simulation apps around numerical simulations of physics-based systems to enable end users to run multiphysics analyses. The apps were created with the Application Builder in COMSOL Multiphysics® and deployed to users with a local installation of the COMSOL Server™ license.
